At this duration, she steals many books that Naiz was looking for to destroy them.

Hans and Rosa didn’t agree with the Naiz regime, although they are not Jewish, they fight against Naiz by hiding the Jewish boy Max in the basement. Their war against the Naiz’s remains a secret until he helped the Jewish man. When soldiers know that they beat both Hans and the man he helped. After this suspicion they were worried about Max that he is no more safe in the basement, so he sends him away. During the war, Liesel writes his story and she named it The Book Theif.

Later a bomb falls on Himmel street. Liesel was in the basement at that time due to which she survives. When she came out she sees the bodies of her loved ones and she was rescued by the air raid officers.
